Antonio Gonzalez Jr. was born in San Antonio, Val Verde County, Texas on August 11, 1934. Antonio passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at his home in Brigham City, Utah.
His mother was Maria Herrera and his father was Antonio Gonzalez Sr.. He was 1 of 7 children, two sisters and four brothers.
When Antonio was 16, he worked delivering milk for $18.00 a week. At the age of 17, he moved from del Rio to Roberts, Idaho. He started working for Sugar Beets Processing Company. He traveled between Idaho for potatoes and Utah for cherries and tomatoes for work. In the summer of 1951, he met Katie, during the time of him working tomatoes, they married in 1952. They had six children, five boys and one girl, Jimmy, Danny, Mike, Frank, Robert, and Julie.
In 1966, he settled in Utah to work for a wire factory for 4 ½ years. Then he started at Thiokol where he worked for 21 years before retiring. He got bored, so he decided to go start working again. He went to work at Autoliv in Brigham City, where he retired after working there for many years . After retiring from Autoliv he got bored and decided to get a part time job at Super Wash for extra money to go gambling.
Antonio finally crossed the creek with his white horse.
Surviving seven children, Jim (Catarina) Gonzales; Mike (Tammy) Gonzales; Frank (Tracy) Gonzales; Danny (Rosie) Gonzales; Robert (Angie) Gonzales; Julia (Christopher) Gonzales-Petersen; Cathy (Jeff Bradshaw) Gonzales, 19 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, one brother, Ben Gonzalez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, and two great grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, 380 S 200 E., Brigham City, Utah.
There will be a viewing held on Saturday, Dec. 20th from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E 200 S., Brigham City, Utah.
Interment will be in the Corinne City Cemetery.
