Antonio J. Hazzard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonio Jukumu Hazzard, who was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on December 31, 2008, to Jacqueline Hazzard & Antonio Fortes III, both of Rhode Island. Antonio departed this life on November 6, 2025.

Antonio was a bright, kind, and loving young man whose smile and spirit touched everyone he met. A proud student at Lincoln High School, he was known for his humor, compassion, and the joy he brought to his friends and family. His presence could light up any room, and his heart overflowed with love for those around him.

Antonio is lovingly remembered by his family: Mema Jennifer Lafleche of New York, Nanny Toni Hazard of Virginia, Nana Mary Lou Hazzard of Rhode Island, John Gonzalez II of Rhode Island, Grandpa Derick Hazard Sr. of Rhode Island, Papa Carlos Vazquez of Rhode Island, & Grandinlaw Iaishzell Jenkins of New York.

He is preceded in death by his uncles John Vazquez and Jason Lafleche of Providence; great-grandmothers Trenda Hazard & Gloria Lafleche of Rhode Island & Vanessa Fortes of Virginia; great-grandfathers Antonio Fortes ll and Rudolph Lafleche, & cousin Derick Hazard III of Florida.

Antonio will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his siblings A'Marie Brown, Jalen Hazzard, Harlem Torres, & A'Laia Allen.

He also leaves behind many loving uncles: Paul Washburn, Kyron Ledo, & Jordyn Poole of Rhode Island, Derick Hazzard Jr. of Virginia, Sammy Harris, Edwin Lafleche, John Carlos Gonzalez, & Kevin Gonzalez of Rhode Island; his beloved aunts: Deneisha Hazard (his favorite Auntie) of Virginia; Jazmine Hazzard, Skylar Lafleche, & Priscilla Gonzalez of Rhode Island, and Reign Nunez of New York.

Antonio shared a special bond with his best friends, Logan and Eddie, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Antonio's life, though brief, was full of love, laughter, and light. His memory will live on through all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, Thursday November 13th, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home Friday, November 14th at 10 am. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to his gofund.me page using the link below.
