Antonio Herrera SR.

Antonio V. Herrera (Tony) passed away at the age of 86. He was born and raised in Portland, TX on January 21, 1938 to Ruperto Herrera and Felipa Vasquez Herrera. Tony was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel and attended school in Portland. Tony was in construction by trade and worked for Portland Lumber for many years and with TM Lumber Company in Taft, TX, until he went into business for himself as TH Builders in Portland and surrounding areas.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Ruperto Herrera Jr., Mamie Vasquez, Chavela Muniz, Ramona Trevino, Catarina Hinojosa, Rosa Vasquez, his daughter Rosie Herrera Suarez, and his grandson Joe Mike Suarez. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lupe Herrera, his children Tony (Lucy) Herrera Jr., Judy Herrera, Yolanda (Bidal) Perez, Belinda Good, Mark (Amanda) Herrera, his sister Ofelia Morris, his sons-in-law Joe Ed Suarez and Paul Good, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
