It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonio Perilli, who left us on September 9, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in Farindola, Italy, on June 12, 1935, Antonio's life was marked by his resilience, hard work, and deep love for his family. In 1968, Antonio moved his family to the United States to pursue better opportunities, a decision that defined his legacy of dedication and care.
A master stone mason by trade, Antonio worked tirelessly until the age of 80, even building his own home with his skilled hands. His craftsmanship and work ethic will forever be remembered. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Antonio was known for his generosity, especially when it came to sharing his love of food and infamous homemade wine. His home was always filled with the warmth of family, friends, delicious meals, and the sounds of laughter. Antonio took special pride in grilling arrosticini, an Abruzzo specialty, and the cherished holiday meals will be remembered fondly for all who experienced.
Antonio was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Maria. He was also predeceased by his sister Gabriella Marcella (Albert), as well as his parents, Angelo and Teresa Perilli.
He is survived by his children: Gabriella (Mark-former), Carmela (Robert Sr.), and Angelo (Dr. Kristen B.), was a loving Poppop to his grandchildren: Stephanie, Silvia (Bill), Anthony, Bobby (Paula), Danielle (Teddy), and Julia (Brandon), Andrew and Nathan. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Gia, Gavin, Trista, William, Theo, Charlie, Harper and Oliver.
He is also survived by his sister Elvira (Pete), and his brother Mario (Giuseppina).
Additionally, he is survived by his niece and nephews.
Antonio's enduring love for his family, his zest for life, and his hard work will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be dearly missed, but his memory will forever remain a source of inspiration and love.
