Mr. Antonio Demetrius Rice, affectionately known as "Toobie," peacefully entered his eternal rest on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Antonio "Toobie" was born on July 8, 1970, to the late Barbara Ann Rice.
He attended High Point Central High School and later worked as a furniture delivery specialist and, a warehouse set-up, and installer. His years of traveling for work shaped his skills and allowed him to connect with many fascinating individuals along the way. It's clear that these experiences enriched his life and allowed him to build meaningful relationships.
Antonio "Toobie" was a legend in High Point and the surrounding area, known for being the life of the party with his incredible dance moves. He was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his loved ones and dear friends. Toobie was the type of person who never met a stranger always smiling and showing those pearly white teeth.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Rice; maternal grandmother, Ella Rice; great-aunt, Lucille Dunn; uncle, Gregory Little; cousin, Margaret "Barbara Jean" Wilkes, Theatmus Rice, and little Theatmus Rice.
Antonio "Toobie" leaves to cherish his memories his son, O'Maury Travon Archie of High Point, NC; brother, Laverne Rice of High Point, NC; aunts, Linda Rice of High Point, NC, Carol Little of High Point, NC, and great-aunt, Carolyn Snipes of Portland, Oregon; god-sons, Justin McQueen, Jerry Chandler, and goddaughter, Sa'Porra Ingram of High Point, NC. He had a host of cousins who were like his brothers and sisters, especially Rodney and Sharon Wilkes and Ken Wilkes. He had a special bond with his best friends, Ebony Thomas, Cortina Garvin, Demetrius Sean Wilson, Shawn Massey, Lamonte McGill, Rayford McGill, Micheal Thompson, and Ron Davis.
