Mass of Christian Burial for Antonio Rodriguez, 79-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away in the Big Horn Mountains on Monday, will be celebrated Saturday September 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Bryce Lungren as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 From 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo. A Vigil Service will be held and the Rosary recited on Friday night at 6:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services immediately following the mass. Donations in Antonio's memory may be made to the Antonio Rodriguez Memorial Fund in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Antonio Rodriguez was born on January 12, 1946, in Arenas de San Pedro, Spain to Manuel and Augustina Lopez Rodriguez. He grew up and went to school in Spain and at the age of 8, he moved to Lesaka, Spain and started work at 10 years old cutting wood with his father. On November 4, 1965, at the age of 19 he moved to Buffalo, Wyoming and went to work for the Harriet Brothers as a sheep herder. He was married on July 27, 1970, in Buffalo to Betty Curutchet and they made their home in Buffalo. In the early 1970's he went to work for Buckingham Lumber where he worked for 19 years. After an accident in 1995 he went to work for many different ranches including, Camino, Curuchet, and Maya as a night man and worked alongside his wife on their ranch on Trabing Road where he continued to live until his death.
Antonio loved hunting, being in the mountains, playing cards (Mus) singing and especially spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Betty, five sons, Juan Rodriguez and his wife Shar, Michael Rodriguez and his wife Trinity, Kevin Rodriguez and his wife Becky, Christopher Rodriguez and his wife Carmen, Jason Rodriguez and his wife Jolene of Kaycee; one daughter, Tina Rodriguez of Buffalo; four brothers Manolito, Joaquin, Marcelino and Patxi of Spain; three sisters, Ana Marie, Pili, and Rafaela also of Spain; fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one grandson and one son-in-law.
