Anzelma Jane Moczygemba Drees, age 85, of Falls City passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025. She was born to Ben and Susie Skrobarczyk Moczygemba on February 16, 1940.

Anzelma married Ernest M. Drees on September 16, 1976. Throughout her life she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Anzelma worked as a clerk at Bexar County Savings in San Antonio as well as Sams Town and Country in Falls City. She later opened a home daycare for many local families. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, fishing, word search puzzles, and keeping in touch with her growing family. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America as well as the Altar Society. Anzelma was a hard worker, a true woman of faith, and will be deeply missed by her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Claude C. Pawelek; daughter, Jacqueline Marie Pawelek; Son-in-Law, Leroy Vincent Titzman; Step-son, Daryl Drees; brothers, Zygfred & Raymond Moczygemba; and sister, Theresa Kotara.

Anzelma is survived by her husband, Ernest; children, Jeanette (Leo) Lyssy, Alan Pawelek, Gary (Joyce) Pawelek, Michelle Titzman, Yvette (Tommy) Kowalik, Step-sons; Larrell (Kay) Drees, Michael (Regina) Drees, and Randy (Christie) Drees. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Julian Moczygemba, Sixtus Moczygemba, Yvonne Kiolbassa, Eleanor Kotzur, Florence Thigpen, Sydney Moczygemba, Diana Jendrusch and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. and the Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Falls City.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Titzman, Russell Wagner, Brian Swierc, Timothy Jendrusch, Tommy Kotzur, and Michael Kotara.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Karnes county EMS, Falls City Fire Department, or Holy Trinity Altar Servers Scholarships Fund.
