Apolonia Diaz Alvardo, 57, of Elgin, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025. She will lie in state at the family residence, Wednesday, October 22nd from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Christian Funeral Mass will be conducted at Saint Julia Catholic Church, Thursday, October 23rd at 11:00 AM. A Christian Burial will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery.
