Apryl Sutton Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 3, 2023.
Apryl Dawn Sutton was born on June 7, 1966. She passed from earth into eternity on December 26, 2022. Apryl was a genuine, born-again believer of Jesus Christ and stood by faith on God's Word – the Holy Bible. She loved searching and seeking for Truth and studying the Word of God. She never watered anything down. She stayed in the believers' race to eternal life, kept the faith, finished her course, and is now receiving her crown of eternal life and rewards.
She was born of the late George Augustus Price and Gladys Marice Price, the eighty-seven year old "Matriarch of Faith" of the Price Family. Apryl enjoyed her loving husband, Elliott Sutton, of thirty-two years. They had been together for thirty-five years after meeting each other in Providence, Rhode Island. Their marriage was full of adventure, laughter, and never a dull moment. Their marriage lasted "till death do us part." Elliott faithfully and lovingly took care of his wife, Apryl, to the very end. Apryl was very fertile. She was blessed with four beautiful children: two sons; DuJuan and Darrian, and two daughters; Quiana and Marqueta. Her daughter Quiana is married to Phineas James.
Apryl was also blessed with nine beautiful grandchildren, her son DuJuan's two children; Caden and Jalen, her daughter Quiana's four children; Diamond, Daniel, Jae Marie, and Josiah, and her daughter Marqueta's three children; Jase, Jaslyn, and Bonnie Jean. Also, she had four great-grandchildren. Her granddaughter Diamond's three children; Emerald, Matthias, and Royalty, and her grandson Daniel's child; Jamarion.
Apryl had nine other Price siblings: the late 1) Jocelyn Yvonne), 2) Michael Anthony (married to Sheree), 3) Kevin Hanson, 4) Sherryl Janine, 5) Apryl was number five, 6) Sharon Marie, 7) Treasure Lynn (married to Dana Blue), 8) Stephen Anthony, 9) Jonathan George, and 10) Gloryia Christina Noel. The Price Family labeled each other as numbers according to their birth order. So Apryl's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren should know their birth order number. Apryl loved numbers. She counted everything. She had sixteen nieces and nephews, eighteen great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-niece. She also had two god-children; D.J. and Nalani, and many other family and friends.
Apryl was full of energy and enthusiasm for life. She seldom sat in the background and was highly curious and inquisitive. This was reflected in her intellectual nature. She absorbed information and ideas like a sponge. She loved to communicate her thoughts and opinions. She was highly talkative and sociable. She loved to engage with the world around her and was highly adaptable to any situation.
For most of her later adult life, she always knew she was a heaven-bound soldier. She evangelized and sought to recruit as many followers of Jesus Christ as possible. She always bore witness to the Truth (Jesus Christ). She enjoyed gospel music that glorified God, listening to gospel sermons, and singing praise and worship songs with her family at gatherings.
Apryl was a Seer/Prophetess, an Elder in ministry, and a preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was never too concerned about titles, but she always sought to present herself as a witness to the truth and the gospel of Jesus Christ. During her early childhood, she attended Zion Gospel Temple, then Faith Deliverance Center in her twenties, God's Power in Christian Fellowship in her thirties, and finally, Gates of Dominion Word Ministry Int'l (G.O.D.), where she was an Elder and served there for nine years. Her brother (Bishop Michael) and sister-in-law (Apostle Sheree) were her senior pastors there.
Apryl was a hairdresser for nineteen years. She loved what she did and was very passionate about it. Apryl was an incredible hairdresser, won hair competitions, and could master any hairstyle. Braiding and cutting were her specialties. She worked at various places through the years: Supercuts, Cost Cutters, TGF, Ann's Private Cuts, Great Clips, and Sherryl's Cuts. Apryl also was a salon owner at Now Your Styling! with her sisters Sherryl, Sharon, and Gloryia from 2002 through 2006.
Apryl had several favorite sayings, such as, "No pain, no gain," and "my name is gnat, and I'm staying out of that." Her theme song was, "If I fail or if I succeed, at least I'll live as I believe!" The song she played the most was "I'm going away" by Walter Hawkins. If you wanted someone you could go there with, Apryl was the one. She was very strong-willed and to the point. There was no "sugar coating" around Apryl. She always wanted the raw truth. Apryl was very talented and athletic. She was still doing cartwheels in her thirties and could still do splits. She was very competitive with games and sports, and she was very good at them. She was an analytical and critical thinker and loved solving problems and offering solutions to challenges. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. She was truly loved by many! We are grateful to the Sovereign, Creator God for the years he blessed us with dear Apryl! God loaned her to us, but truly she belongs to him. Enjoy your rest Apryl and get your crown!
