Our beloved sister and aunt, Bobbie (Kathy) Kathleen Sutton, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 14th, 2025. Kathy was born in Austin, Texas on Feb 24th, 1947 to Virgle D. Sutton and Mabel Reimers Sutton.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Kathy was raised and went to school in both Austin, Texas and LaGrange, Texas. She attended LaGrange High School until her senior year when she moved back to Austin and graduated from McCallum High School in 1965. She worked for Automotive Wholesalers of Texas before going to work for the State of Texas, and retiring with TxDOT in 2010.
Kathy was a loving and kind person, who loved to travel. The Colorado mountains were her favorite destination. Looking for and watching bull elk in Rocky Mountain National Park was probably some of her happiest times. Her and her brother Virgle enjoyed many road trips to different national parks across the west and southwest. She also liked to go to casinos and play slot machines.
Kathy loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She is survived by: brothers, Virgle Sutton, Rodney Hall, and Johnny Sutton; her sister, Jan Sutton Davenport; her nieces, Dana Sutton, Heather Patschke, Jennifer Baker, Andie Warner, and Cassandra Threadgill; her nephews, Hunter Hall and Heath Hall; her aunt, Doris Skinner; numerous cousins, great nieces and great nephews; and some great girlfriends.
She was a wonderful companion and friend, and we will miss her deeply.
