MERCEDES - Arcelia Ortiz 65, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026. Arcelia was born on March 26, 1960 in Elsa, Texas to Heriberto and Simona Rodriguez. She was a devoted wife and mother, cherished for her unwavering love for her family.

Arcelia was known for her exceptional cooking skills and the joy she found in creating memorable meals for her family. She particularly loved spending time with her grandchildren, sharing laughter and nurturing bonds that will be cherished for generations. Her warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her, making a lasting impact on the lives she touched.

Arcelia is preceded in death by her mother Simona Rodriguez and her son Valeriano Ortiz.

Arcelia is survived by her loving husband Santos Ortiz, her sons Bobby Joe Ortiz and Chris Ortiz, grandchildren; Damian Ortiz, Santos Ortiz, Tyler Ortiz, Arianna Ortiz, Ayleen Ortiz, Natalie Ortiz, Mikki Ortiz, Marcos Ortiz and Nicholas Ortiz. She is also survived by her father Heriberto Rodriguez and brothers Daniel Rodriguez and David Rodriguez.

As per Arcelia's wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Arcelia Ortiz will be deeply missed, but her love will endure in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
