Archie Ryherd of Haysville, Kansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 27 at the age of 78. Archie was born the son of Clifford and Myrtle (Hathaway) Ryherd on December 15, 1946, in lola, Kansas. Archie married Della on June 6, 1965, and together they had 4 children.

They moved to Belle Plaine, Kansas where he raised his family and enjoyed coaching his son in baseball. He was employed at Boeing for over 30 years before he retired. Archie enjoyed spending time fishing and playing cards with his brothers and sisters. He enjoyed the holidays and spending time with his kids, grandchildren, and great grandkids. Archie had the most giving heart, not only did he help family, but also complete strangers.

Survivors include his children: Jeff Ryherd of Vicksburg, Mississippi; Cindy Matlock (Berry) of Haysville, Kansas; Sandy McCray (Benny) of Skiatook, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Myrtle Ryherd, brother Jerry Ryherd, brother Robert"Bob" Ryherd, sister Bonnie Matlock, daughter Laura Sue Ryherd, and grandson Matthew Scott Schnier.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Smith Family Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Rd, Derby, KS

Graveside service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Belle Plaine Cemetery 1/2 Mile South of 4th St. on Line St. Belle Plaine KS.
