Ardath Kay "Ardie" Mason

Ardath "Ardie" Kay Mason, 73, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona on August 25, 1951.
Ardie spent her childhood in Virginia and Texas and then graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. She did her student teaching at Kino Junior High and briefly worked for Arizona Bank and Western Savings Bank as a teller and then as a florist when her children were older. She was married for time and all eternity in the Mesa, Arizona, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple to Larry Michael Mason on November 17, 1973. Ardie loved playing field hockey and softball as a youth and was an avid reader and game player. She served in many church callings throughout her life, including Relief Society President, Primary President, and Pack Leader for the Boy Scouts. In addition, she volunteered as a coach for her kids' soccer and softball teams and worked in the Art Masterpiece program in Mesa Public Schools. Ardie was the ultimate homemaker and mother to four children and grandmother to twelve grandchildren and loved them all very much.
Ardie will be greatly missed by her husband, Larry; her children, Michael (and wife Jamey), Kimberly (and husband Richard), Christine (and husband Scott), and Matthew; as well her grandchildren, McKay, Keegan, Brody, Lily, Ethan, Noah, Carissa, Macey, Gunner, Cade, Marshall, and Zachary.
Ardie's celebration of life service will be held on December 19, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7752 E. McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 85207.
