Arden Sutton Obituary

She was 81, and born in Brooklyn, NY, March 10, 1941 to her parents the late Olive Gay Sinclair and James Joseph Gay. She was a resident of Mendham, NJ, for 52 years and spent the majority of her life working as the head receptionist and greeter for various insurance companies in NJ, which she was so good at and loved. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Morristown, NJ.
Arden was the definition of elegance and beauty. She was strikingly beautiful inside and out and had the most beautiful smile. She was loving, caring, detailed, and brought an abundance of joy to everyone she came into contact with.
She is survived by her husband Leslie Alton Sutton of Mendham, NJ who she was married to for 55 years, her son Leslie James Sutton and daughter-in-law Candace Lynn Sutton of Ogdensburg, NJ, her grandson Travis Sutton of Towson, Maryland, granddaughter Mary Sutton of Sparta, NJ, and granddaughter Laura Sutton of Ogdensburg, NJ. She is also survived by her sister Victoria Hafl and her husband Terry Hafl of Mason, OH, her brother James Joseph Gay and his wife Barbara Gay of Poughkeepsie, NY, and many nieces and nephews. She enriched the lives of all of us on so many levels and will be deeply missed beyond words. We love you Arden.
A memorial service will be held on January 7, 2023 at 11am at the Morristown United Methodist Church, 50 South Park Place, Morristown, NJ

Growing up, some of my fondest memories involved trips to visit Aunt Arden and family, especially around the holiday's and other special occasion's.
From my earliest memories to the last, Aunt Arden's amazing and infectious smile and laugh always stood out and made all of us kids feel warm and loved.
Being half a country part, prevented us all from spending much time together in more recent years, but distance and time could never, and will never, take away the amazing memories we all had with our aunt as children, even if some of those memories involved Jim, Kim, Scott and I pushing the envelope of both our parents patience and kindness.
I heard a song a couple years back and it has a line that hits home and gives comfort in times like this. The words "God must need another angel around his throne tonight", fits so well, cause Aunt Arden is a beautiful person with an incredible soul and I know she is now an angel around the throne.
Love You Aunt Arden.

I have lost my beautiful sister that I love so much. For many years we have lived in different states, but have remained close. In a recent conversation, she told me she loved our calls because I always made her laugh. I only hope that one day I will see her again. I'll love her always.

I´ve worked at NJM with Arden for almost 20 years and I just remember her smile, morning greetings and small talks throughout the day. I often worked the lobby area and would stop by to talk to her and Sandy to get through my day. I also enjoyed the way she decorated the lobby area and their delicious treats. Arden will be missed

Arden and I worked together at NJM and I will always remember her smile and always a joy to be around. Loved having lunch with her and enjoyed her company. I am sure she will be surely missed by many who knew her. Rest in peace my friend and co-worker. Diana Preziosi

Arden and I started in the same year at NJM. We had lunch together along with other co-workers and took many walks on break. Arden always had an interesting story to tell and care about all her family members and took very well care of her husband. Her energy and ambition was amazing. It´s so hard to believe. I´m am so saddened of this loss. I´m sure she is in Heaven and very happy to be with God but I will miss her dearly. We Love you Arden!!!
