Gently, like a feather on the wind, I, Ardith Smith, have taken my leave from this earthly stage. Born on a crisp winter's day, December 29, 1973, in the historic town of Portsmouth, Virginia, I began a journey marked by love and courage, compassion and thoughtfulness. Now, in the sweet whispering of the wind, I tell you that my journey has found its end on the 16th of August, 2025. I speak to you from Camden, New Jersey, my cherished home, where the echoes of my laughter still glimmer in the corners of each room.

I found the purest essence of life's beauty through my family, I hope my spirit continues to bloom, nurturing the seeds of love and kindness. To my loving father, Arthur Smith, and my compassionate mother, Brenda New, I whisper my gratitude for their unwavering love and guidance. I am but a reflection of their strength and wisdom.

As the poet Maya Angelou once wrote, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." In accordance with these words, I invite you to remember me not in sorrow, but in love and joy. Remember the warmth of my laughter, the light in my eyes, and the love that I shared unconditionally. In the hallowed echo of hymns and prayers, my life was celebrated, my spirit released, and my love reaffirmed.

Though I may have left this world, the memories of me live on. I urge you to share these memories, to upload photos and write down your stories of our shared moments. Let my memorial page become a garden of memories, where love continues to bloom, and laughter never fades. In the end, it is love and joy that prevail, and it is within these that I remain, eternally, Ardith.
