Obituary published on Legacy.com by Deer Creek Funeral Service - Dublin on Jun. 26, 2024.
Aric Shane Halverson, 48, entered into his heavenly home on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Stanford Hospital in Pleasanton, CA due to sepsis and diabetes complications.
Aric was born on April 25, 1976 in Fargo, North Dakota to Dawn (Soper) Halverson and Jimmie Halverson after a weekend of labor. After living in Fargo for 2 years, the family moved to the Bay Area in California where Aric spent most of his years.
He graduated from Village High School in Pleasanton, CA in 1995 and worked in the retail business for several years. Aric was an incredible salesman. He could talk you into buying anything whether you needed it or not.
He loved to collect items, mostly high-end sneakers. He had over 200 pairs of Nikes, Adidas, and Vans in every color and style. He had his fashion style of matching clothes with his shoes. You could count on Aric to be dressed in all one color, whether it was all blue, orange, red, green, pink or yellow with matching shoes. He loved bright colorful clothes.
Aric was so kind and so brave especially during the past 14 years of his illness. He struggled with a rare form of diabetes type 5 and it put him into the hospital more times than we can count. He made friends easily with all the nurses in every hospital and most doctors too. He was always thinking of others right up to his last day. He told the nurses he brought his Nintendo switch game so they could use it during their breaks.
Aric loved going to church at Calvary Chapel Church in Pleasanton. He loved the people there and tried to go to several Bible Study groups each week. Aric loved Jesus and looked forward to being with Him for eternity.
Aric leaves behind his mother, Dawn Halverson (Dublin CA); his father Jim Halverson (
Dublin, CA); his brother Josh Halverson (Stockton, CA); his uncles Greg Soper (Stockton, CA) and Brian Soper (Champlin, MN). He also leaves behind his aunt Laura Berk (
East Tawas, Michigan) and his cousin Rochelle Smith (Port Huron, Michigan) as well as many friends and loved ones, including his cats, Minnie and Little. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Lou and Donna Soper, and his uncle, Jeff Soper.
