Ariel (Arielle) Mirina Francis (or Gloria, as her siblings affectionately called her), was born in Barbados, on April 8, 1952 to the late Esther Joyce and Reynold Theophilus Francis.
In pursuit of a better life for herself and her family, she moved to the United States to take advantage of the opportunities presented. In 1977 she joined American Airlines’ (Sky Chefs) Accounting Department where she stayed until she retired. She was a founding member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she played a vital and active role on the church boards, Finance committee, and as a choir member for many years. The members became her Texas family. She joined and was instrumental in forming various associations in her community to improve quality of life and she volunteered in causes that would bring about positive change. She also worked the election polls for many, many years. She later joined Gateway Church and looked forward to serving and fellowshipping there.
Ariel never met a stranger, and many of her relationships turned into lifelong friendships. She was a Christian, mother figure, sister, sister-friend, auntie and mentor to many. She was vibrant inside and out, always cheerful with her signature pearls, stylish/fancy walk and big smile. She was kind, caring, and dependable and was the sweetest person with the biggest heart. She was the rock and the glue that binds our family.
Ariel was called home to be with The Lord on July 5, 2024.
We will forever be grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ for her life,
the grace, poise and dignity in which she lived.
You will be missed. We love you. Rest in Peace Sis.
