Arilia Josephine “Jody” Fischer, of Palm Beach Gardens, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025, with her daughter by her side. Jody was born in Binghamton, New York, and had lived allover the Country due to her husband’s work with General Electric. Palm beach Gardens became their final home where her husband, Robert, predeceased her on July 3, 2007.
Jody is survived by her daughter, Susan L. (Norm) Falick of Palm Beach Gardens; sons, Mark of West Palm Beach, James of Cincinnati, Ohio; and two grandsons, Robbie and Gabriel. She was predeceased by a son, Bruce, and her sister, Irene Beach.
Jody was a person who had never met a stranger. Her infectious laugh; inviting personality, and just plain caring about everyone made her someone you would never forget. She was a faithful communicant of the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, where she was involved in many activities including: a member and finance chair of the Cathedral Women’s Guild; head greeter for mass; Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and a member, since 1996, of the RCIA team. While living in Cincinnati, she taught CCD at her parish.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, with Rev. Fr. Michael Cairnes, STL. presiding. Committal Services and burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, where Jody will be laid to rest beside her husband.
Because of her love for her church, the family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jody’s name to the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, 9999 N. Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410
