Arista "AJ" Broussard, Sr. Obituary
Breaux Bridge- A visitation will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge, on Monday July 15, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM for Arista "AJ" Broussard Sr., 75, who passed away on July 13, 2024 at Carpenter House.
Arista was born on March 9, 1949 in Breaux Bridge. He was known for his frugality and wise financial management throughout his life. Arista had a special bond with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Tony", a nickname that brought a smile to his face every time. His passion for fishing and gardening brought him solace and happiness, allowing him to appreciate the beauty of nature in its purest form.
He is survived by his sons, AJ (Lottie) Broussard, Jr., Shane (Christine) Broussard and Cris (Ashly) Lavergne; grandchildren, Brittany Bourgeois, Blaise (Chelsea) Broussard, Brodie (Katelyn) Broussard, Brooke Richard, Zachary Broussard, Adam Broussard, Emma Lavergne, Sophie Lavergne and Maddie Lavergne; great-grandchildren, Oaklyn Broussard and Hayden Simon; brother, Raymond Broussard, Sr.; sisters, Elaine Perez and Tonya Fontenot; uncle, Nathan Trosclair.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Agnes Trosclair Broussard; brothers, Leroy Broussard and Francis "Louis" Broussard, Sr.; sister, Lillian Dore.
The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Magnolia Estates Nursing Home for compassion and care.
