Aristeo “Addie” Chacon
Aristeo Chacon, born and raised in Canon Plaza, passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 16, 2024, at the age of 84.
Aristeo was preceded in death by his wife Eileen and his twin sons Andrew and Anthony Chacon. His parents, Juan Pedro and Adonelia Chacon, siblings; Jose Bernabel, Isidoro “Chy”, Desiderio (Rose), and Bon Chacon, sister-in-law Cora Chacon.
Aristeo is survived by his children Audra Chacon (Michael), Adam Chacon (Therese), and grandson who he raised Andrew Clavery (Kimberly), his grandchildren; Nicholas Maestas (Elisa), Lynette Maestas (Lee), and Desirae Lujan, his great-grandchildren: Jeremy, Brielle, Lenae, Korbyn, Sierra, and Penelope, siblings: Ben, Timo (Cande), and Thomas Chacon, sister-in-law Annabelle (Teofilo) Chacon.
Aristeo was an avid sports fanatic, especially to his beloved Mesa Vista Trojans, who he faithfully supported for many years. He also enjoyed watching the Las Vegas Raiders and the Colorado Rockies. Aristeo was a man of many trades, including a sheep herder and logger in his younger years, followed by a 23 year career as a custodian at NNMCC where he forged many life-long friendships. He was fondly remembered meeting up for coffee at the Mesa Vista Café. In addition to being a hard worker, Aristeo was a devout Seventh Day Adventist. Every single day right after he got out of bed dad studied his bible and prayed special prayers for his family and friends. He did this faithfully until his last day. His favorite bible verse was Psalms 23
Aristeo’s unending love and loyalty to his wife Eileen was unmatched. His love and devotion to her brought such a huge heartache and void to his life after her passing. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren especially Sabbath meals after church. Actually having us all get together brought immense happiness.
While our hearts are broken, we know that he was ready and we have complete belief that when Jesus comes again he will remember Dad/Grandpa and will take him to his eternal home.
