Arlee Williams Sr., 92, of Gurnee, formerly of North Chicago, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Highland Park Hospital. He was born on June 1,1931 in Walls, Mississippi. On April 8,1951 in Walls, Mississippi, Arlee married the love of his life, Mary F. "Sis” (Brown) Williams. Arlee loved his family, grew up helping people, and was very proud to be lifelong resident of North Chicago. He loved the Cubs and the Bulls and his Blues and his favorite TV show was Sanford & Son and John Force was his all time favorite drag racer driver. He leaves to cherish his loving Sons Arlee Jr. (Margery) Williams and Roger (Stacey Wade) Williams; Sisters Idell (Johnny) Struill of Florissant, Missouri and Zelner Richardson of Adrian, Michigan; Daughter-in-law Linda Williams; Brothers-in-law Lonnie E. Wade and Charles H. Wade; Sister-in-law Ernestine Manins; grandchildren Arlee III (Angela) Williams, Crystal Y. Geater, Kendrick L. (Jennifer) Williams, Kenneth L. Jr. (Taniesha) Williams, Kyle (Rebecca) Williams, Kenyatta Williams, Megan A. Williams-Raines, Jawon (Elaina) Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, great-grandkids and a host of friends and especially close friend Clarence Evans. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary F. Williams; mother Adelia Williams; sons Larry D. Williams, Kenneth L. Williams Sr., Mitchell Williams, and his Brothers Lewis Allen and Charlie Allen; and Sisters Everlena White and EllaMae Pruitt.
Friends and family will meet for visitation on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 12:30PM-2:30PM at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. A Celebration of his Life will begin at 2:30PM. A private interment will take place at a later date.
We will always love you Brother Brute. He will be deeply missed by all who know and love him.
