Arleen Ann Zapp, age 71, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 7, 1953, Arleen grew up in Minnesota and made her home in Hermantown. She loved her summers on the boat by beautiful Lake Superior. She later moved to Lillian, Alabama to enjoy retirement, alongside her husband of 53 years, Jeff Zapp.

Arleen was a bright light in every life she touched - funny, kind, generous, and always ready with a helping hand. Her joyful personality radiated warmth, and she lived each day with humor, faith, and love. Arleen worked for many years at North Shore Bank, where she was known for her personal touch and dedication. She would always go above and beyond what was expected of her.

A left-handed angel, Arleen created beautiful prayer blankets and handmade treasures for her family and friends. She was always up for fun, known for having the best Halloween costumes, and found countless creative ways to bring joy to those around her. Her love for her family was unmatched. She poured her heart into every relationship - showing up, cheering on, and crafting thoughtful gifts that will be cherished forever.

Arleen now joins her beloved parents, Ellen and Kenneth Iverson; and brothers, Jerry and Russell in heaven.

Left to honor her memory is her loving husband, Jeff; their daughters, Jennifer (Adam), Heather Lynn (Matt), Heather (Terrance), April (Paul), and Dominique; her adored grandchildren, Michael, Hannah, Wyatt, Hayley, Kevin, Kailyn, Brennen, Isabella, Cloey, and Leo; siblings, Susan (Don), Dianne (Larry), Kenneth (Shelley), Bruce (Perriann), (Marcia), Cheryl (Rob), and Brian (Kelly); as well as many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Arleen's light was like no other. Her faith-filled prayers, contagious smile, and boundless love leave behind a legacy of compassion and joy. She lived selflessly, gave generously, and loved endlessly. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 31st at The Landing, 9302 West Skyline Parkway, Duluth, with a reception to follow. All who knew and loved Arleen are welcome to join in honoring her incredible life.

Her sister, Susan, mailed many items through the Saginaw Post Office. We miss seeing Susan and hearing of their fun stories. RIP Arleen.
