Arlen Bakke Obituary

Arlen retired from the Air Force after serving 22 years. He also retired from the City of Yukon. He was an avid bowler, he loved to listen to country music, and liked to watch Walker Texas Ranger. He always looked forward to holidays and being able to see and spend time with family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. Most of the time you would find him in his front yard feeding the neighborhood cats and enjoying a cold beer.
Arlen was preceded in death by wife Bernice Bakke; daughter Melissa Bakke; granddaughter Megan Henson; parents Alfred and Hattie Bakke; brothers Charles Bakke of Anniston, AL and Byron Bakke of MN; sisters Harriet of MN, Marian Bakke of Edmonds, WA; and Jean Andress of AZ. He is survived by sons David Bakke of Yukon, Steve and Kelley Bakke of Tuttle, and Doug and Barbara Bakke of Yukon; daughter Debra Bakke of Oklahoma City; ten grandkids; and 12 great-grandkids with a 13th on the way; Robert "Bob" Bakke of Denver, CO, Patricia and Ronald Braaten of Thief River Falls, MN; Donna Bakke of Martinson, TX; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made to Pets and People of Yukon or any local animal shelter.
A celebration of Arlen's life will be held at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel on June 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
