Arlen Dee Greenhill Jr.

Arlen never met a stranger. He came from a large family who welcomed into their home those in any sort of need and offered support, love and acceptance. He once told his wife he had a surprise to bring home after work, she thought it might be a puppy...it turned out to be "little brother". Later he came home with a co-worker that had nowhere to stay because of a house fire. Arlen inherited these traits from his parents, just ask anybody. Everyone Arlen knew was his 'family' in some kind of way. To the best of his ability he extended aid to his family and friends and many others. It would be impossible to list every surviving family member, without omitting someone and surely and truly we do not want that to happen. And because Arlen called almost everyone family his obituary will read a bit non-traditionally. Arlen was preceded in death by his parents Arlen D. Greenhill, Sr. and Siao Togia Greenhill, his brothers Marvin and Tafola Greenhill, Tafola's beloved wife Trudy, and his first love and wife Stacey. Surviving family members include those related by blood, marriage, or by the way Arlen perceived and felt they were his family. His wife of 23 years Cathy Hood Greenhill, his siblings, Tali Greenhill Cline (Jimmy), Kenny Greenhill (Lori), Tala Greenhill Capistran (Manuel), Patrick Aching Greenhill, a.k.a. "little brother" (Antoinette). His children, Jessie Hood Greenhill (Heather), Lauren Greenhill Amezqueita (Manolo), Jonathan Greenhill (Rachel), Alicia Lee (Warren). He deeply loved all his grandchildren, Timothy, Calvin, Jamie, Logan, Addisyn, Efrain, Michelle, Luvia, Nathan, Inaaya, Luke, DJ, Levi, and Cuper. Arlen cared for those some might consider extended family, his first mother-in-law Janice, Kristen and family, and Candace and family. Arlen had Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and hundreds of cousins along with all the families of those listed that span a distance from Samoa to the East Coast. And not to forget his fondness for his Evans High School football team and classmates, his former co-workers on the police force and in the automotive industry, his teammates on the RedStorm softball team, and the many relationships he treasured with his spiritual family at the Kingdom Hall.
