Arlene Brumer
Arlene A. Brumer, age 69, of Beacon Falls, entered into rest on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Griffin Hospital in Derby, with her loving children by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late David Brumer. Arlene was born in New Haven on January 17, 1956, daughter of Thomas Beatrice and the late Anna Mae (Radcliffe) Beatrice, and she lived in Beacon Falls since 2008, coming from Seymour.
She worked as a Medical Billing Claim Specialist. Arlene was an avid reader and loved watching sports, especially NBA basketball. While living in Seymour, she was a member of the Seymour Board of Education, Planning and Zoning, and the Seymour Library Board, and she continued to be involved in public service when she moved to Beacon Falls.
She is the beloved mother of Marc Brumer and his wife Mallory Ward and Melissa Brumer and her husband Zach Rowen, and proud grandmother of Madeline Brumer, Theo Rowen, and Reese Rowen. She also leaves her sister, Anna Jacke and her husband Peter, and two nieces.
Friends may greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, on Tuesday from 4 to 6 PM. Memorial contributions are encouraged to colorectalcancer.org . Online condolences can be extended at www.adzimafh.com .
