Luciana Allocca Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Collins Funeral Home - Norwalk on Jan. 22, 2026.
Luciana "Lucy" Allocca, 67, passed away peacefully at her home on January 20, 2026, with her devoted husband of 52 years, Angelo, by her side.

Luciana was born on August 3, 1958, in Scauri, Italy, to the late Fiorentino and Alba Vellucci. She first came to the United States at the age of eleven in pursuit of the American dream along with her parents, older brother Joseph, and younger sister Antonella.

While visiting family and friends in Italy, Luciana met the love of her life, Angelo. Unable to imagine a future without him, she returned to their shared hometown of Scauri to marry him in 1974. Together, they permanently immigrated to the United States in 1976, settling in Norwalk, Connecticut, where they lived for more than twenty-five years and raised their family. They later relocated to Shelton, before moving to Beacon Falls.

Luciana and Angelo built a life grounded in hard work, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to family. Their shared journey took them around the world and stood as a testament to a love story defined by mutual respect, loyalty, and steadfast support.

She was deeply loved by all who knew her and had the rare gift of making everyone feel at home. A naturally social person, she cultivated a wide circle of friends and treasured every connection. Above all, Luciana was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her quiet strength, resilience, and grace, even in the face of life's most difficult challenges. Luciana believed deeply in doing good, living with purpose, and caring for others.

Luciana enjoyed a long and successful career in the fashion industry, working for Swank, Inc. (later Randa Apparel & Accessories) for over four decades until she retired as a Managing Director.

Luciana is survived by her loving husband, Angelo, and their sons, Daniel and his wife Erica of Southport, Connecticut, and Marco and his wife Nichole of Trumbull, Connecticut. Lovingly called "Ninna", she leaves behind six cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, Caroline, Sebastian, Andrew and Zachary, who were the greatest joys of her life. They carry with them treasured memories of Sunday lunches, afternoons spent baking, swimming together, and the occasional adventure exploring construction sites and their equipment.

She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Vellucci and his wife Tanika, and her sister, Antonella Buccieri, along with extended family members and dear friends.

Luciana's legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the countless lives she touched with her strength, warmth, and compassion.

Of all the special gifts in life however great or small, to have you as our friend was the greatest gift of all. May the wind of love blow softly and whisper in your ear "we love and miss you Lucy and wish that you were here". No more tomorrows we can share but yesterdays are always there. We had a lot of wonderful times (Bubble Gang) that we will talk about until the end of time. You were such a joy and a bright light, always asking how we were and never complaining what life has thrown at you. You always had a smile and a kind word to say. You will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. May God carry your family in the palm of his hand and give them peace, courage and strength at this most difficult time.
