Arlene M. Fisher

Arlene M. Fisher, 96, of New Providence, entered into rest on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Born in Providence Twp., she was the daughter of the late Issac R. and Marie E. (Aukamp) Doulin. She was the loving wife of Howard K. "Buck" Fisher for over 78 years.
Arlene was an active life-member of Providence Church, where she played piano for over 22 years and also taught Sunday School. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Quarryville Chapter O.E.S. #446 and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, music, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: Howard K., Jr. (Wilda) Fisher of Cary, N.C. and Carol Templeton of Lancaster. Also surviving is a son-in-law, James Hess, Sr., grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Verlaine Hess, a son-in-law, Jere Templeton and siblings, Marvin Doulin and Eleanor Noel.
A Funeral Service will take place at Providence Church, 269 Cinder Rd., New Providence, PA on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. The family will greet friends at the church from 10:30 - 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
