Arlene May Foster, born on May 6, 1939, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed into eternal life on March 12, 2024, in Rogers, Arkansas, at the age of 84. She was the daughter of Winifred Driscoll and Adeline Straccia. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband of 61 years, Robert Charles Foster, her brother Bill Driscoll, and brother-in-law Don Moore.
Arlene's life was a testament to her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She dedicated herself to teaching women's Sunday School classes for many years and was an active member of several church choirs, and a frequent soloist. Before her health declined and she moved into Innisfree nursing home, she regularly attended Immanuel Baptist Church (IBC). While in Innisfree, it was a blessing to have IBC members provide services there, which Arlene enjoyed attending.
Growing up, Arlene and her sister, Nanci, were known as "The Driscoll Sisters" who sang each week on their church's radio service. Arlene worked as the co-manager of the gift shop at the Great Passion Play, and then as a senior teller at Arvest Bank before she retired in 2004.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Arlene expressed her affection through lots of warm hugs, one of the many ways that she expressed love for her family. Her positive attitude, infectious laughter, and ever-present smile endeared her to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving son, Mark Foster, and his wife, Michelle, of Rogers; grandchildren Marisa Foster and Megan Jones, with her husband Hunter; and great-grandchild Millie Mae Jones. Arlene is also survived by her siblings, Nanci Moore, and Ronald Driscoll, along with her nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Arlene's life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church (IBC GO Center) at 2555 S 26th St, Rogers, Arkansas, on Thursday, March 28, providing an opportunity for friends and family to come together and honor the legacy of a woman who touched so many lives. Visitation will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and the service will begin at 6:30 p.m.
