Arlene Grover Obituary
Arlene was born on Saturday, April 25, 1936, in Passaic, New Jersey, and she was the daughter of the late Walter Ernest Popplewell and the late Catherine Dina (Kemp) Popplewell.
Arlene was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Bam Bam, and friend. She worked for Tennessee Tech University for 25-plus years as a secretary in the Academic Affairs Department. She enjoyed going to car shows with her husband, Carl, gardening, and spending time with her family. Arlene was loved by those who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
Arlene is survived by her three Children, Susan Huston and her husband Gary, Lee Charnock and partner Barbara Levy, and Carl Grover, Jr and his wife Kathy; 6 Grandchildren, Courtney Vance, Mark Sasso and his wife Kerry, Marshall Grover, McKenzie Grover, Rachael Muir and her husband Adam, and Emily Kline and her husband Jesse; 6 Great-Grandchildren, Hayden Kline, Ella Fay Kline, Colton Sasso, Jessi Kline, Rylie Sasso, and Lilah Jo Muir.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Charnock, Jr., second husband, Carl Douglas Grover, and Brother, William Popplewell.
Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
