Arlene Iafrate, 90, formerly of Pawtucket, RI passed away peacefully in Myrtle Beach, SC on February 9th, 2025. She was the devoted wife of the late Albert Iafrate. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Edwina (Duarte) Perry.
Arlene was most happy when spending time with all the members of her family. She loved cooking, especially on Christmas Eve when everyone would be gathered together. She liked to bowl and spent many years in a bowling league. Arlene greatly enjoyed trips to Twin River to play the slots and was also known to enjoy an ice-cold beer. Spending time on the boat with her sister and brother-in-law was something she loved to do. She was a strong-willed independent woman who liked to josh with those around her. She was always able to take the joke as well, whether it be as a recipient of belching powder in her coffee or being tossed into a backyard pool. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
She is survived by daughters; Kathleen Kowal, Diane (Michael) Iafrate-Senerchia, Debra Iafrate, and Karen (Joseph) Votta. Grandchildren; Farrah Sheldon, Paul Kowal, Brandi Roddy, Taryn Votta, Thomas Votta, and Stephanie Guilmette. She is also survived by 11 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and siblings Dorothy (Ray) Governo, Joyce (John) DiCola, Manuel (Marge) Perry Jr., and Bette (George) Pacheco. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Vincent Kowal.
