Arlene Colette Johnson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 6, 2025, in Southgate. Born on March 26, 1939, in Taylor, she lived a long and fulfilling life of 86 years.

Arlene was a spirited and adventurous woman who found joy in the great outdoors. She loved camping under the stars, traveling to the sunny shores of Florida, and riding her bike through scenic paths. Her athletic nature was matched only by her deep devotion to her family and friends, with whom she cherished spending time.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Howard R. Johnson, her parents Samantha England and Frank England, brothers Ronald and Donald, and leaves behind a legacy in her surviving children: Cindy (Jim) Sands, Cheryl Sammut, Joe (Lisa) Johnson, Charlene (Jim) Wright, Cathy (Allan) Bokor, Carrie (Curtis) Furtaw, and Crystal (Keith) Ebaugh. Arlene was also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her warmth and love. Additionally, she is survived by her two sisters Arletta and Lorene.

Arlene will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her love of family, and her ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
