Obituary of Arlene Ann Mahlstedt
Arlene Ann Mahlstedt of La Porte Texas, was born in Wilmington, Delaware to William Henry Dietrick, and Amelia Oltramonte on March 8, 1950. She passed away December 7, 2024, surrounded by family.
Arlene moved to La Porte, Texas and made a life working for the Port of Houston. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her friends from the church group, GLOW.
Arlene had two children, William Christian Mahlstedt and Stephen R. Mahlstedt. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Robert Dietrick. She is survived by her son, William Christian Mahlstedt and wife, Brittany; her son, Stephen R. Mahlstedt and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Maizie Foxx, Kali Mahlstedt, Madilyn Mahlstedt, Callen Mahlstedt, and Colton Mahlstedt; sister, Carol "Bootsie" Lynch and husband, James "Bunny"; brother, Ronnie Dietrick and wife, Ruth; sister, Diane "Pinky" Marchegiani and husband, Tony; sister, Anita Anderson and husband, Joe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Clayton Funeral Home in La Porte from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2024, to be followed by a celebration of life at the Jennie Riley Community Center in La Porte from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association in Arlene's memory.
