Arlene L. Priddy, 93, passed away on January 2, 2024, at 4:44 pm, at The Springs of Lima, surrounded by her loving family.
Arlene was born May 28, 1930 in Lima, OH, to Harold and Ruth (Morris) Musser who preceded her in death. On March 5, 1950 she married Gordon O. Priddy who preceded her in death on June 14, 2010.
Arlene graduated from Lima Central High School in 1948. She was a bus driver for Elida Local Schools for over seventeen years. In her younger years she was the Horseshoe Champion and was in many bowling leagues. Arlene and her husband enjoyed a good round of golf and were always very competitive on the links. She also enjoyed playing various card games. Arlene cherished her husband and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arlene is survived by her children, Nevela "Nev" Kantner of Lima, OH, Steve (Linda) Priddy of Sebring, FL, Mark (Jeanne) Priddy of Lima, OH, Judith "Judy" Priddy of Lima, OH, Ruth (John) Wheeler of Sevierville, TN, grandchildren, Tim Kantner, Jeremy Priddy, Mackenzie Hilty, Nikki Sweigart, Kari Priddy, John Wheeler, Gary Wheeler, seventeen great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and sister, Elizabeth "Lizz" Spees of Mooresville, NC
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Roger Musser, Richard "Dick" Musser, Paul Musser, Janet Bartz, Larry Musser, and her grandchildren, Doug Kantner and Michelle Priddy.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 1:00pm at Chiles - Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Burial will be in Allentown Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Shawnee Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
