Arlene G. Smith (Campbell) passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on November 3, 2022, with her family gathered by her side. She was born August 8, 1953, in Southington CT. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Viola Ayotte. Arlene dearly loved spending time with her family, camping, fishing, traveling, playing cards, and her dog, Boo.
She is survived by 5 children, Brian (Heather) Smith of West Suffield CT, Glenn (Michelle) Quirion of Wellington FL, Shelby (Paul) Valentino of Crystal River, FL, Jeffrey (Pam) Smith of Gastonia, NC and Michelle (Rick) Edwards of Bristol CT. She was predeceased by her son Tony Quirion. She also leaves behind 5 siblings, Dwayne Ayotte, Joe Ayotte, Billy Ayotte, Debbie Ayotte, and Lisa Ayotte. She was predeceased by her brother Lou Ayotte. In addition to her children and siblings, she leaves behind her 13 grandchildren; Joshua, Nicholas, Tiffany, Taylor, Michael, Brian, Austin, Courtney, Chelsey, Zackary, Tyler, Teddy and Bella along with 4 great grandchildren; Kaylie, Cameron, Nico, and Quinn. Also, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her immediate family, she will also be missed by her friends that became family at the Cha-wi-ma Campground in Chaplin, CT. Arlene was predeceased by her loving husband, Bruce Smith and her parents Viola and Joseph Ayotte.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and love to Chanda Charpentier, Arlene's absolute best friend for all of her love and care that she has given to Arlene over the years as well as to the entire family.
A memorial service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery located at 317 Bow Lane Middletown CT on December 1, 2022 at 1:45PM where she will be laid to rest with her loving husband.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND FLOWERS TO THE FUNERAL HOME AS THERE ARE NO SERVICES AT OUR FACILITY.
