Arlene Berdene Winegar, age 89, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Monday, May 12, 2025. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI, on July 15, 1935, to John and Hulda (Johnson) Pleger. Arlene married John Winegar on July 3, 1958, and the two of them spent 47 wonderful years building a family together until he preceded her in death in 2005. She loved spending time with friends and family, visiting Lincoln Lake, and going on trips with her husband. In recent years she also enjoyed shopping at garage sales and taking trips to the casino.
She will be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Rodney (Leonora) Winegar, Thomas (Kim) Winegar, and John (Lissa) Winegar; eight grandchildren: John (Laurie), Jennifer, Ryan (Sierra), Brett, Brandon, Brennen (Alice) Justin, and Connor; and five great-grandchildren: Alec, Ella, Mason, Colton, and Nora. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hulda Pleger; husband, John Winegar; and all five of her siblings: Charlotte, Roy, Doris, Lucille, and Lillian.
