Marlene Woodrum

Marlene Woodrum, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. She was born on August 12, 1953, to Robert and Helen (Crawford) Gardenour in Grant, MI, and remained a lifelong resident of West Michigan. Marlene graduated from Fremont High School with the Class of 1971. She worked for over 20 years at ADAC Automotive, where she was a dedicated employee known for her expertise with labeling systems. On February 11, 1978, she married the love of her life, Paul Woodrum. Together they shared 47 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Marlene enjoyed testing her luck at the casino and relaxing in the sunshine on cruises. She was the heart and soul of her family strong, independent, and always ready to take charge. Her warmth and understanding made everyone feel welcome, no matter the circumstance. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Marlene's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Woodrum Sr.; five children, twins Stephanie (Rick) Karel and Paul Woodrum Jr, David Woodrum, Charity (George) Miller and Melissa Woodrum; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with two on the way; sister, Sharon (Chuck) Gleason; two brothers, Larry (Diane) Gardenour and Rob (Patrice) Gardenour; two sisters-in-law, Karola Gardenour and Dawn Gardenour; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Lyle Gardenour and Carl Gardenour. A Celebration of Marlene's Life will be held at a later date.
