Arlie Cobb Obituary
Arlie Maxwell Cobb, formerly of Frakes and Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at age 93. Born July 20, 1931, Arlie was one of the seven sons of Steve and Loney Cobb of Frakes. He spent most of his life working in and around the coal mines of Bell County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Earl, Homer, Alfred, Ralph, and Jerome “PO” Cobb; his wife, Margie Partin Cobb; daughter, Kathy Cobb Sturgill; son, Douglas Maxwell Cobb; and grandsons, Arlie Napier, Jeremy Cobb, and Mark Sturgill.
He is survived by his son, Darrell (Annette) Cobb; daughter, Leah Shannon (Larry) Snodgrass; grandchildren, Matthew (Brittney) Sturgill, Douglas Shane Cobb, Brittany (Todd) Smith, Daniel (Heather) Cobb and Alisha and Alexandra Snodgrass; brother, David Cobb, fourteen grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Henderson Settlement, 16714 State Hwy 190, Frakes, KY 40940.
