Arlie A. Taylor

Arlie A. Taylor, 86, of Bradenton, FL and Ellettsville, IN, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025 surrounded by his family, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Arlie was born January 17, 1939 in Cross County, Arkansas and was the son of the late Jesse S. and Ola Belle (McBride) Taylor.
Arlie met the love of his life, Rita Kay Osborne, in 1st grade. They were married in 1958 in Ellettsville, IN and spent the next 67 years together. Arlie retired in 1999 as a manager from John Deere Parts Distribution Center in Moline, IL. After retiring, Arlie and Rita spent winters in Bradenton where Arlie enjoyed golfing and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Manatee United Methodist Church in Bradenton for over 20 years and also attended Ellettsville First United Methodist Church.
Arlie is survived by his wife, Rita Kay; daughter Arla Kay (Rick) Keller; son Jay P. (Shannon) Taylor; grandson Tyler (Jenna) Allam; great grandchildren Walker and Wrenley Allam; mother-in-law Anise Osborne; and brothers Ronnie Taylor and Paul Taylor.
Arlie was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Zachary Allam.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville with Pastor Jimmy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and again one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
