Mr. Armand Ray Smalls was born February 12, 1953 at General Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Armand accepted Christ at an early age and recently on Father’s Day 2025 rededicated his life back to Christ. Armand was a resident of the lovingly termed Eastside Neighborhood. As he used to say “ East End Babyyyyyyy! “ He was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School System and attended East High School where he met his first love Sharon Ramey, They had two beautiful daughters he longed to marry his beloved Sharon Ramey but never married. 

Later on in life he had several more children and raised a bonus daughter who preceded him in death. He went to join the labor force working multiple jobs Guy’s and Lipton were his two favorites ending with Holland Nameplate. Armand accomplished making several inventions that he was very proud of. He was a baby genius of sorts. He also was the barber for many family and friends. Armand was multi talented and was a jack of all trades. He could do anything he set his hands and mind to. He loved to draw and create beautiful pieces of art he thought he was Picasso you couldn’t tell him he wasn’t. 

Armand also loved to cook and was very good at it. He loved to show off his culinary skills. His favorite past times were also listening to music and Jazz was at the top of the list his favorite. He loved to cruise around town listening to his jazz or washing his car listening to the beats. He loved playing dominoes and cards with family and friends. A Domino King he was and mastered that skill to perfection! He was a smooth operator with the ladies and he took pride in his attire always donning a fresh brim and polished shoes. He was always dressed sharper then a tack! He had a lot of class style and finesse! You better believe it! If you know you know! Armand loved his children and grandchildren and new great grandson and his children’s mothers as well as all his family and friends. He was very honorable, noble, a loyal and trustworthy God fearing man. 

Armand departed this life on August 24, 2025 at Corondelet Ignite Medical Resort in Kansas City Missouri. He is preceded in death by his Mother Norma Jean Brown Smalls, His brothers Lorenzo Smalls, Lambert Smalls, Aaron Smalls. Daughter
La’ Keshia A. Smith, Grandson's Edward T. Shelton IV, Keion L. Gines. He leaves to cherish his memory his children Roschelle Shelton ( Elisha ), Jocelyn Ramey, Armand Smith and his grandchildren, great grandson, and a host of family and friends and loved ones.
