It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Lucida Louise Albers. She was born December 31, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to Lubirtha and Calvin Bushnell and was lovingly raised by Leroy and Louise Hays. She passed away September 24, 2025 in Olathe, Kansas.

Lucida was a devoted wife to Donald Albers, a loving mother to Cecilia and Corwin Albers, and a proud grandmother to Charlotte and Barrett Albers. She was also a cherished sister to Holly, Glenda, Bobby, Donald, Sanford, Penny and Lucinda Bushnell.

She spent more than 30 years as an educator in the Kansas City public school system where she touched countless lives. Even after retiring she never lost her love for mentorship and was always ready to listen, guide and encourage anyone who needed her.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday October 1 at Park Lawn Funeral Home 8251 Hillcrest Road Kansas City MO 64138. The rosary will be prayed at 6 PM.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM on Thursday October 2 at St. John Francis Regis Parish 8941 James A Reed Road Kansas City MO 64138. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Raytown Missouri.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John Francis Regis Parish.
