William Paul Albers, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by family. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and spent most of his life in Houston, Texas, which he proudly called home.

On October 10, 1979, Paul married the love of his life, Elizabeth "Liz" Darragh Albers, in Houston. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.

Paul graduated from St. Thomas High School in Houston and went on to serve his country honorably in the Marine Corps Reserves. His respect for history and service shone through his passions: restoring World War II Army jeeps, traveling to Civil War parks, and building detailed models of ships and aircraft.

Known for his humor, honesty, and a touch of orneriness, Paul had a personality as vibrant as the stories he loved to tell. He was deeply loving, always truthful, and had a soft heart for animals-dogs were his companions for more than 45 years. He also had a deep appreciation for good food, especially Mexican food and Texas barbecue.

Paul's legacy lives on in his devoted wife, Liz; his daughter Theresa and her husband Pete Fardelos; his son Steve Albers; and his granddaughter Alexandra Fardelos and her husband Stephen Cheatham. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Nancy Albers, niece Janet Albers, and nephew Vincent Albers.

Paul will be remembered not only for his passions and quirks but also for the love and laughter he brought to all who knew him. His family and friends will forever cherish the time they shared with him.
