Shawn Sullivan Ryan

Shawn Sullivan Ryan passed away peacefully on 12-10-25 at 444 pm at home surrounded by her loving family. She was incredibly brave in her battle with cancer and always faithful to God.

She is predeceased by her father George Sullivan and mother Carolyn "Cissie" Sullivan.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 34 years Michael Ryan and four beautiful children, Christina Maria Ryan, Colleen Megan Ryan, Mitchell Sullivan Ryan and Matthew Thomas Ryan, her brother George Daniel Sullivan, sister Kelly Kirwan and brother Patrick Sullivan, along with many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and cousins too numerous to mention.

She attended Memorial High School and was an energetic member of the Marquettes. She graduated with a bachelors degree from the University of Texas and a Masters degree from the University of Houston. She worked for 30 years in the energy industry in Houston.

Her greatest talents were her unbounding good humor and love for family. She was patient, kind, funny, compassionate, slow to anger and quick to forgive. She loved to travel and visited Germany, Amsterdam, Ireland, England, Spain, Sweden, Sicily and many locations in the USA. She was thrilled to meet Elton John in person in Las Vegas and Toby Keith at the Houston Rodeo. She loved music and dancing and even bested her husband by getting a 10 point buck! By far her greatest joy was when she was holding her babies in her arms; her smile radiated to heaven. She was the greatest wife and mother anyone could wish for.

She attended St. Bartholomew Church in Katy Texas and was an active member of the community. She was a blessing from God bringing joy to everyone she met.
