Park Lawn Funeral Home - Kansas CityLaRee Joyce Justis Pollock Passed away peacefully on September,19 surrounded by her family following a long battle with dementia. She was born in Washington Kansas to Neal Justis and Agnes Leubken Justis Montegue. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Dwayne, Audrey, Maxine and Ardith. LaRee is also preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Pollock whom she married in 1949 in Marysville Kansas, settling in Kansas City for the past 72 years.
She spent her working life as a bookkeeper retiring from Chrysler Credit. She built lifelong friendships not only at work but also through her bridge game. She was an avid bridge player traveling across the country accumulating Masters Points and friendships at the many tournaments she participated in.
LaRee is survived by her children Lynn Braswell (Raymond), Suzanne McQuain (Robert), Robert E Pollock (Marie) and Mark A Pollock. She was grandmother to Terry Shaffer (Lisa), Kristen Guillaume (Bret), Eric Shaffer (Latisha), Kelly Bianchi (Josh), Dan Pollock, David Pollock, Teresa Pollock (Eden Menguez) and Joseph Pollock. She was step grandmother to Meghan Sankey, Meredith Brockman (Kent) and Meara McQuain (Tim Hubbard) and Great-grandmother of 15.
LaRee loved being with her family, visiting on the phone, going on shopping trips and visiting her favorite restaurants. She celebrated her family’s successes and was always there during times of need and encouragement. She was a wonderful example of strength and hard work. There was nothing she couldn’t or wouldn’t do for her family.
There will be a Funeral Mass for friends and family October 10, 2025, at 10 AM at Church of the Nativity 3800 W 119 St. Leawood, Ks; on what would have been her 95th birthday, followed by private interment at Park Lawn Cemetery.
