Armando Aguilar-Ramirez, age 95 of Claxton passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Affinis Hospice. Mr. Armando was a native of Mexico, living in Claxton for the past 35 years and worked his whole life farming. He truly loved the Lord and attended Primera Iglesia Bautista Agape Church. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will truly be missed. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elva Castillo-Olmeda; daughter, Elva Hernandez; brothers, Ezequiel and Juan Aguilar; sons-in-law, Sylvester Melvin and Francisco Ramirez, Sr.
He is survived by his children, Armando Aguilar, Jr. (Yolanda), Blanca Melvin, Alejandra Aguilar all of Claxton; step-daughter, Sanjuana Ramirez of Glennville; brother, Martin Aguilar (Sylvia) of Mexico; son-in-law, Joe Hernandez, Sr; grandchildren, Victor (Katty) Ramirez, Evelina (Lucio) Mendez, Francisco Ramirez, Jr. and his spouse, Jackie (Adalberto) Jardon, Jennifer Hernandez, Joe (Avery) Hernandez, Armando Aguilar, III, Karen Aguilar, Sally K. (Miguel) Flores, Carol (Robert) Brinson, Daisy (Seth) Anderson, Sylvester (Crystal) Melvin, Jr., and Kimberly Melvin; many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
Family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm, Sunday, September 28, 2025 with funeral services to follow at 4:00pm from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with Brother Roman Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow in Glennville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Armando Aguilar, Jr., Sylvester Melvin, Jr., Seth Anderson, Victor Ramirez, Francisco Ramirez, Jr., Miguel Flores.
Glennville Funeral Home has the honor to serve the family of Mr. Armando Aguilar-Ramirez.
