Obituary of Armando Contreras
Of Monroeville, age 32, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family and friends after battling hard to fight a brain aneurysm.
Armando was the beloved fiancé of Lea Clutter and the proud father of Daenerys Contreras and newborn daughter, Sora Contreras.
He was the precious son of Kathleen Lantzy of Monroeville, dear brother of Richard (Erin) Lantzy of Plum and loving uncle of Myles Lantzy.
Armando was the nephew of Lou (Ginny) Lantzy, George (late Rose) Lantzy, Ray Lantzy, Mary Grace (Frank) Mashione and Joe Lantzy.
He now rests peacefully with his maternal grandparents, Elizabeth "Dee" and George Lantzy, whose memory he always carried in his heart.
He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including many dear cousins and close friends.
Armando has been employed as a warehouse manager for SDC Nutrition in Pittsburgh for 10 years. Mondo was first and foremost an incredible father and provider. He was a man who believed in the value of hard work and responsibility. Whether on the job or at home, he gave his best every day. Providing for his family was not just his duty-it was his greatest source of pride.
Even though he was born and raised and has resided in the Pittsburgh area for all of his life, Mondo was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. He enjoyed playing the card game "Magic the Gathering" and was pleased to sport a 'man bun' for the past 6 years. Mondo looked forward to Thanksgiving for the obvious family reasons, but also the Holiday meant playing in the Turkey Bowl at Monroeville Park. He also found joy in watching Anime movies and television shows with his heart's greatest gift, Dani, especially the series "My Hero, Academia". Armando and Lea shared a special bond and loved traveling together, creating countless memories along the way. Whether it was a weekend getaway or a road trip to somewhere new, their adventures were filled with laughter, love, and connection. Mondo was an avid fantasy football enthusiast who loved the competition and good-
natured trash talk that came with every season. One of the truest reflections of Armando's character was the love he showed as a father figure to his friend's son, Julian. To know Mondo was to feel his warmth-his light will continue to shine in all the hearts he touched.
All are welcome on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Avenue, Turtle Creek 15145 (412-823-9350) where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m.
Armando will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery.
