Armando J. Lazzaro

Armando J. Lazzaro, 100, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the North Pavilion at UMass Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by loved ones. His loving wife of seventy-seven years, Helen (Altomare) Lazzaro, predeceased him in July of this year.

He is survived by his loving son, John Lazzaro and his long-time partner Mary Borey of Boylston; his adored granddaughter, Elayna Hebert and her husband Kristopher of North Andover; his dear great grandchildren, Benjamin, Lukas and Camden; many nieces and nephews. Armando was born in Worcester, son of the late, Giovanni and Margaret (Pasquerella) Lazzaro, and has lived here all his life.

Armando worked for over thirty-six years at Norton Company, where he worked initially as a machinist and for many years as a truck driver. Armando enjoyed caring for his yard and was proud of his lawn and gardens. For many years, he and Helen spent Friday nights dancing and socializing with friends.

Calling hours will be held for Armando on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 10 am until his Funeral Service begins at 11:30 am in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Entombment will immediately follow services in Notre Dame Mausoleum Worcester.
