Mr. Armando Montemayor, age 72, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024. He was born on November 6, 1951, in Edinburg, Texas, to the late Antonio and Porfiria Montemayor.
Armando was a long life resident of Lubbock, TX where he worked as an independent contractor, displaying a wonderful knack for building and remodeling. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, chatting, working, watching telenovelas, going to Hobbs and Ruidoso NM., snacking, and much more. Armando had an uncanny ability to make others smile and laugh.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephina Montemayor; and grandchildren, Esperanza "Hopie" Montemayor, Jose Angel Montemayor, David Anthony Gonzales and Devin Ray Gonzales.
He is survived by his son, Adam Montemayor; grandchildren, Vanessa Munguia, Damien Montemayor, Adam Montemayor Jr., and Joseph Montemayor; great-grandchildren, Aria Munguia, Araseli Aguayo, Alexander Montemayor, Ivan Montemayor, Malikai Montemayor, Abigail Montemayor, and Valentina Montemayor; Siblings, Maria San Juana Carrasco, Fernando Montemayor (twin brother), Noe Montemayor, Antonio Montemayor Jr., Nina Montemayor, Esmeralda Martinez, Ernestina Barretero, Anna Montemayor, Patricia Montemayor.
