Burial was in the church cemetery.

Armin was born October 27, 1934, at home near Bremen, son of Herman and Evelyn (Crome) Holle.  On November 11, 1934, he was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  On March 21, 1948, he was confirmed by Rev. A.C. Traugott.

He attended Immanuel’s South School near Bremen through the 8th grade, and then began working on the family farm. In addition to farming, he worked doing construction of local elevators. During his free time, he enjoyed pitching for a men’s fastpitch softball team.

Armin served in the National Guard for several years. He was transferred to active duty in 1961-1962 during the Berlin Crisis and was stationed at Fort Riley.

On October 14, 1962, he married Mary Peterson at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waterville. To this union they were blessed with four children: Brenda, Brian, Wayne, and Darrin. They lived on the family farm southeast of Bremen.

Armin was a farmer his entire life, raising crops, cattle, and purebred Chester White and Hampshire swine. Many family vacations included a swine show or sale. He was active in the pork industry, serving as a board member of the Pork Producers and the SENEK swine test station. He and his family also showed swine at regional and national shows.  To supplement his farming business, he sold Northrup King seed. In later years, Armin was a welder on second shift at Landoll Corporation for over 20 years.

He was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and served the church in various positions. He took an active interest in his children’s education and served on the board of Immanuel Lutheran School. Armin also served on the Bremen elevator board of directors and participated in  4-H as both a member and adult project leader.

Armin enjoyed playing cards with the Bremen card club and occasionally visiting a local casino with Mary. But his biggest joy in life was his family.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Brenda (Mark) Harwood, Topeka, KS, Brian (Lisa), Bakersfield, CA, Wayne (Donna), Bremen, and Darrin (Katina), Gardner, KS; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary (Joyce) Holle, Bremen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lorene Berger; and brother, Melvern Holle.

A memorial fund has been established to Immanuel Lutheran (Hermansberg) Church.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
