After exiting the Airforce, Armond worked for Delaware Area Regional Transit (DART) as a bus operator. He also worked for C.M Noble in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
In August of 1985 Armond met his wife, Buelah. They were married in May of 1986. From this union came two sons, Brian Matthew and Michael Daniel. Armond has experienced many health challenges over the past nine years. He was a patient at Fresenius Medical Care Clinic. Due to his interaction with all the patients and staff, he earned the nick name as “the mayor”. He greeted each patient and staff by name and with a smile. This was where he met Cheryl, a dialysis nurse who treated and cared for him. He adopted her as his daughter, and she called him Dad. She is now part of the family.
On Monday morning, October 20th , Armond transitioned from this life into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8)
