Ronetta Gaines Perry, daughter of the late Carrie Lee Bates Hickey and William Henry Gaines, was born on September 27th,1944 in Sandford, FL. Ronetta departed this life October 27th, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Born and raised in Sanford, FL where Ronetta received her early education before relocating to Bridgeton, NJ where she graduated from high school. After graduating high school, she went on to marry Clarence “Sonny” Perry. Out of that union came Min. Loretta “Cookie” Perry, Clarence “Lucky” Perry, Juanita Perry, Sandra and Randall Perry, and Denise Perry.
She went on to continue her education at the Nursing School of Wilmington where she received her BSN, Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Ronetta went on to have various position within Wilmington Hospital and later for the State of Delaware after 40 plus years of service she retired.
Ronetta was called into Ministry where she served the community under the tutelage of Bishop/Apostle Earl Palmer/Senior Pastor-of Brand-New Life Christian Center, Philadelphia, Pa. As God continued to call her further into Ministry, she graduated from The Word of Life Ministries in Newark, DE where she received a degree Theology.
She also attended Highway Word of Faith Ministries where she fellowshipped under Bishop Carl A Turner Sr. in Wilmington, De. She was also part of the “Antioch Outreach Ministry” and “Hope for A Better Tomorrow” Outreach Ministry in Delaware with Min. Loretta Perry and Elder Brian A. Ferguson and a host of other ministers.
Because of Minister Ronetta Perry passion for learning and teaching God’s word she started a weekly in home bible study group.
Ronetta was also a dedicated member of “Fresh Anointing Christian Center” under the leadership of Pastor Clarence and Ja’ola Walker in Upper Darby, Pa.
Ronetta was a Sweet, gentle and loving soul with an Angelic spirit that blessed and touched the hearts of everyone that in knew her. A true Woman of God with the epitome of graciousness, prayer and the love for God. She was truly The Proverb “31” Elect Woman.
Netta loved her children and family, she loved family gatherings. She also loved Macy’s and Boscov’s friend and family sales. Christmas was her favorite holiday she loved cooking and spending time with family. She was known for her sweet potato and apple pies she also enjoyed listening to the Temptations Christmas songs.
Although silent in vocals she was a giant about God’s word in prayer and salvation for others. Her faith, prayer, praise and worship to Christ never wavered. She praised her way towards her wings until God called her home.
She was proceeded in death by her father William Henry Gaines, her mother Carrie Lee Hickey, her daughter Sandra “Sandy” Selby, her son Clarence “Lucky” Perry Jr.
Netta leaves to cherish her memory: Her children Min. Loretta “Cookie” Perry, Jaunita Perry, Randall “Randy” Perry, Denise Perry Ferguson(Brian) and daughter-in law Vetra Perry and God daughter Artina Dollard her grandchildren Ronetta “Nia” Colton, Shontae Wills(Nate) Hasssan Perry(Becca) Zsamere “Ahkee” Selby, Kiara Cottingham (Corbin), Hakeem Perry and 16 great grands, 1 great great grand she also leaves to cherish 6 sisters and 1 brother and a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends. She also leaves to cherish her loving Sister/Daughter/Friends Betty Armfield and Toni Hackett.
